Greg Vida Memorial

As many of you know, on June 14th, Greg tragically lost his battle with a chronic heart condition. He leaves behind his wife Carol, and beloved sons, Zachary (24) and Nathanial (21), along with so many others who were special to him and by whom he was much loved. Greg dedicated his life to his family, friends and the community. Greg was funny, smart, compassionate, and selfless...always putting others before himself. A loving husband, father and friend, he worked hard every single day to do his part to make this world a better place. He touched the lives of everyone he met and was always willing to offer help, support, guidance and advice.

Greg has made an incredible impact on the lives of so many. For his family, there was no better dad and husband. Kind, compassionate, caring, dedicated golf coach and teacher. A person who selflessly, and without fanfare, donated his time and effort into teaching the game of golf to autistic kids.

Greg was the primary care taker for his two boys who both have aged out of any kind of school and now need more care and guidance. If he wasn't at work he was with his boys. He played a significant role in caring for the boys, and that role will now have to be filled by professional care-givers, who will need to be paid for their services.

Many of you have reached out to ask how you can help. Let's join forces and muster an effort that would make Greg proud! Let's raise $50.000 to support Carol and the boys as they navigate their lives in the aftermath of Greg's passing. All funds raised will go to the Vida family, especially Zachary and Nathanial, to support them as they live the life that Greg would have wanted for them. Any amount that you can contribute, will be appreciated, in supporting the strongest family that we know. Thank you to everyone for the love and support so far as we reflect and celebrate the incredible life of Greg. We are better people because we had him in our lives, and now have to channel our energy and resources into ensuring that the family are able to be free of any financial worries. 

Given the financial strain that the Covid-19 pandemic has put on the economy and the fact that Carol will now be the sole provider for her two children, any donations would be much appreciated and immediately used for the aforementioned necessities.  Greg's family needs our support now more than ever.
