August 10 2018, a day that changed the life of Zach Fairchild and those that love him. Early that morning on his morning motorcycle commute to work, Zach’s head was filled with thoughts of another good day at work. He was looking forward to later meeting up with his dad and close friends after work to attend a Raiders game.

Unfortunately, Zach never made it to work or the game because he was involved in a horrible hit and run motorcycle accident. He was hit by a car on the freeway, which left him in critical condition fighting for his life and limbs. He was in ICU far from home for several weeks. With all the critical injuries Zach suffered, he is a trauma patient and continues to endure several intensive surgeries each week to ensure he will live and keep his leg. Other complications will leave Zach facing further intense medical care and likely future surgeries as a result of the accident.

Zach is by no exaggeration one of the most caring, selfless, loving, and hard working human beings that anyone has ever met. He is an instant friend to everyone he meets and makes you feel as though you have known him all your life. He is an absolute amazing son, brother, and friend to so many. Zach has always been a person that puts others before himself and would literally give the shirt off his back to anyone. From missions work across the globe, as he did in Haiti, to his work right here in our own backyard with the homeless and less fortunate, Zach’s compassion and empathy for others has always been something of great honor to him.

His parents have literally been by his side through this terrible ordeal, every day. But the support doesn't end there and neither does the need for help. Zach has a very long and difficult road ahead of him. Physically, emotionally, mentally and financially. Imminently, being able to cover his insurance coverage is of paramount concern and absolutely vital to his recovery. The financial devastation to such a young vibrant young man in the prime of his life can be disastrous.

Zach will be likely upset at first that this plea is being made on his behalf because, for those who know him know, he would be too proud to ask for himself. He isn’t one to take free handouts or anything from anyone. Yet he is the first to offer his help in any situation.

So, if there is any amount you can contribute to assist Zach in his recovery, and to most importantly to ease his pain and worry, then please contribute to Zach’s fund to assist with his insurance payment and future costs of recovery in any amount you can. Let's help this incredible young man! And no matter what, please keep Zach in your thoughts and prayers.
