Hi, my name is Jordan but my friends call my Jay and I'm raising money to cover initial vet bills for my pet pigeon Peep. Peep is 3 years old, pet pigeons can live from 10-15+ years. I hand raised her from one day old when her parents rejected her. She is my baby. Peep has gotten progressively worse neurological issues that have progressed to the point where she can no longer stand at all. I prop her up in a basket while I'm at work and come home to take her out, exercise her legs, give her various medications I've been trying, bathe her, and crop feed her formula as she began to lose weight. She's seen the vet twice over multiple months as her condition got worse. Her vet recently quit his practice so I now have to drive over an hour away to see a farm vet as they are the only one that can see her now. We still don't know what's wrong with her but we haven't done a fecal and crop culture, which are the next steps to try to figure out what's wrong with her. The farm vet has given me an estimate of $371 plus tax for the visit and tests. I live in Newfoundland with 15% tax so it will come to $426. I'm a university student and I'm currently working as a batista, I simply don't have the money for this, I'm barely covering my own bills. My mental health has greatly deteriorated as I watch her physical health decline, I'm struggling to even get through my work day without breaking down. Please help me save my baby.
