Aubrey & Co. Relief Foundation (Launching)
Our mission is to deliver equitable, transparent, and community-driven disaster relief to underserved rural regions across Jamaica. We coordinate verified aid distribution, emergency logistics, and communications restoration through a women-led, locally rooted model. Grounded in ethics, data, and direct community partnership, we ensure vulnerable families receive rapid, accountable, and culturally informed support in moments of crisis and long-term recovery.
What began as an effort to support my own family in Manchester has become something much larger.
This is now a coordinated, women-led rural disaster relief network powered by women across Jamaica and the diaspora — mothers, professionals, public servants, and students — each carrying the weight of their communities with dignity and courage.
On the ground, a mother wakes at dawn to find a star-link signal so she can update us on her community. A trained call-center worker works nights verifying families in need. A licensed pharmacist ensures medical needs are handled responsibly. A police officer anchors community coordination and safety. From New York, I manage logistics, shipments, donations, and verification — bridging academic knowledge, diaspora strength, and ancestral duty.
This is not symbolic aid.
This is operational relief.
WHAT WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED
✅ Established a verified intake system (50+ families registered within days)
✅ Confirmed community leads in:
Trelawny
St. James
Hanover
Westmoreland
St. Elizabeth
Manchester
✅ Shipped:
5 supply barrels
11 air-cargo crisis boxes
5 pallets through private air cargo
✅ Organized on-the-ground coordination teams
✅ Maintained direct contact with isolated households
✅ Sustained weekly supply purchasing through donor support
TRANSPORT UPDATE
A private donor has stepped forward and is allowing us to move cargo using private air resources, dramatically reducing shipping barriers and multiplying the impact of every donation. This support has already increased how much aid we can move — and how quickly it arrives.
OFFICIAL FORMATION UPDATE
Because of the scale, reach, and long-term need, this project is now forming into a registered nonprofit organization:
Aubrey & Co. Relief Foundation
Named in honor of my grandfather, Aubrey Wilson — a man who embodied dignity, resilience, and family — this foundation exists so this work does not end when this storm passes.
We are currently in the legal formation process, including:
• New York nonprofit incorporation
• IRS 501(c)(3) application
• Financial systems & reporting infrastructure
• Formal distribution accountability
• Long-term donor and grant preparedness
Some donations are now supporting:
• Legal registration
• Financial compliance systems
• Documentation & reporting infrastructure
• Quality control for scaling relief
This is how emergency response becomes permanent support.
If you’ve donated before — thank you
If you’re donating now — thank you
You are helping build relief that lasts beyond headlines.
With gratitude,
Elecia (Lici)
