Hello everyone!
Many of you are familiar with Kimberlin's story. But for those of you who don't know, I'll give you a brief overview.
Kimberlin Marks is the daughter of my high school friend Joann. Kimberlin has mitochondrial disease which has no known cure and is a devastating illness that effects every cell/organ of the body. Kimberlin has had countless procedures, IV's, central lines, & hospitalizations. She has endured so much pain & difficulty and she does it with a smile on her face. She's even organized fund raising efforts for other patients in facilities she's spent time at.
She is currently hospitalized in Los Angeles and her family lives in the Corona area. She has been in this LA hospital SINCE JANUARY. I have set up this fund raiser to help assist the family with costs associated with visiting Kimberlin. The medical expenses alone are enormous but I KNOW TOGETHER we can all pitch in to help the family commute back and forth to spend time with Kimberlin.
