- Hi, my name is Sarah. On Saturday 22nd February approx 06:27am, my best friend Sharon, which I've known for over 40+ years, was travelling home from a night shift. She was literally about 3 doors away from her home when the unthinkable happened. A wreckless, careless driver ploughed into her. He then got out of his car and opened her door and asked if she was OK. She said no I can't move, and he then FLED the scene. My dear friend Sharon was left in her vehicle with a broken back. scared and in horrific pain. She had to be cut out from her vehicle and taken to
- hospital. She has had to undergo a lengthy operation to try and stabilise her back by putting metal rods in. I can't imagine what she's going through right now as Sharon have always been a gym freak and a workaholic. we don't even know how long recovery will take or whether she will ever be able to work again. Not only have this 21 year old non insured careless boy given her a life changing disability, he has also written off her very much loved car, that cannot be replaced because he should not of been driving anyway ( no insurance). and potentially her job. Sharon has a long road to recovery ahead of her. She has to learn how to sit up again, learn how to walk again, have special adaptions made to her home. Which all costs money. She does not and did not deserve this, so why is she being punished for something a wreckless uninsured 21 year old done. Please, if anyone can help out it would greatly be appreciated. Update... Sharon is now home and still in tremendous pain, still cannot sit as she is in too much pain she can only stand for no longer then 5 minutes (and thats on a good day) this accident has well and truly changed her whole life.
