Murphys Vet Care

Hi. Thank you for taking the time to read Murphys story. We adopted him from our local pound last May. He was my Mother’s Day gift from my hubby and kids. I had been waiting a long time to add a pitty/bully breed dog to our family. When I saw him on our local pounds FB page, I immediately fell in love with his big goofy smile, and those big eyes that go cross from time to time. Lol He was perfect. I went to go meet him and immediately fell in love. However, Murphy came with a silent killer. He was heart worm positive. I knew that this meant if I didn’t save him, his time would run out and he would be euthanized, as many people don’t want dogs that already have health issues. I adopted him anyway.

Then Covid struck and my hours for my job had to be reduced due to my kids staying home and we were not able to get him the treatment that would not only kill the heart worms, but could potentially kill Murphy too. I put him on preventative and he was ok until recently. We came home from groceries and Murphy was coughing up blood everywhere. It looked like a murder scene. We took him to the vet and I was only able to get him on some meds to make the current worms in his body sterile so they can no longer reproduce.

With your help, I’d like to get his chest X-rays done and started on the plan to start to kill these buggers that are trying to kill my little guy. Whatever amount is put on your heart to donate, my family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts!! And most of all, Murphy thanks you from his heart too.
