It has been a blessing to watch our daughter overcome many obstacles that have been set in front of her. From humble beginnings as a San Diego Trailblazer before moving to Arizona where she began to really enjoy Track & Field running for Pueblo Middle School.
Jasmine joined the Arizona Cheetahs Track Club while in middle school, this is where we truly began to see her potential as an athlete. While at Chandler High School as soon won her 1st state title as a freshman. In 2010 she and her brother Lewis both earned Arizona state titles in the triple jump. She also captured the 100m title that season. Jasmine continued to develop and have success in the 100m, Long Jump and Triple Jump before a major injury caused her to miss her senior year. Thankfully with hard work and dedication she fully recovered and continues her Track career at the University of Oregon.
This year has been a breakout season for Jasmine Todd reaching a major milestone earning a spot on the USA National Team in not only one event but three evening including the 100, long jump, and relay pool. She currently is ranked in the Top 10 in the world in the 100m and Long Jump.
We have always had strong support from our family in California as well as Arizona. She has always been proud represent her grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, adopted family members and friends. We have had the opportunity to attend all of Jasmine’s major events the last few years and many have asked us if we will be attending the World Championships in Beijing to support Jasmine. While we would love to be in the stands when she take to the take in The Birds Nest, the financial burden of this trip is beyond what we can do alone. For that reason we are reaching out to family and friends in an effort to raise enough money to get to Beijing to support Jasmine in her bid for a world championship.
The cost of the trip is approx. $7200
