Hello! My name is Phillip Carrillo and I need you to help me rebuild a playground in the small town of Quepos Costa Rica! I moved here from the United States to teach English as a foreign language. After immersing and getting to know the welcoming community of Quepos, something huge changed for me and I’m a believer in everything happening for a reason. Quepos is a beautiful small town that is filled with kindness, family, and lots of kids. When walking to school everyday, I noticed a small playground that had been closed for years right in the middle of town. After many meetings with the town government and hurdling some language barriers, the Mayor of Quepos has granted me a permit to rebuild a new playground for all children right here in town! I know that there are many kids here that need a safe place to play, have fun, and most importantly, learn. The design of the playground is supported by a focus on education including chalkboards, art, and history. I am lucky that I have been given the opportunity to help the children of Queops in a way that is both fun and educational. So please, if you have anything to offer every penny will make a difference. ALL of the funds will be going into the development of the playground. Help me to provide a safe place for the future of this world to live, learn, and lets not forget HAVE FUN. Want to do even more? I am currently recruiting any volunteers and building a team who are over 18 to visit Quepos and work hands on with the projects I have here starting with the playground. I currently have free housing for any volunteers who are willing to come to this tropical paradise and make a difference. This is no joke, I have been granted permits and housing for any volunteers to come here and live for free while working on the projects.
