Hi! My name is Angela and I’m a single mom of 2 boys.

I hurt my back at work (working at Walmart DC 6090). I have a ruptured disc that’s pinching my sciatic nerve and it is so insanely painful! Walmart's lovely workers' insurance won’t pay for anything until they are forced to by the courts, which could take up to a year. I have a lawyer, but I won’t get any kind of reimbursement or missed wages (they fired me after I reported it) until the court case is settled. I can’t work due to my injury. I have zero income. I filed for disability and that will take about 6-7 months to be processed. I have filed for state assistance, but for now, I’m only getting food stamps (which has helped sooo much!). I am fortunate enough to have an amazing sister who has allowed me to live in her basement rent-free until I get back to work.

I’m looking for help with other bills I have, such as phone, car insurance, gas to get to appointments, and help with paying for treatments (hoping for a spinal injection but I have to pay out of pocket). Anything helps and I’m so grateful for the help I’ve already received, but I just need a little more. I would love to buy a nice Christmas present for my youngest who’s had to watch me cry every day in pain. He’s only 16 but he’s helped so much. I can’t even pay for him to get a haircut and I have no idea how I’ll get him a birthday present either. I’m just really hoping someone or anyone can help. I’m even willing to work it off or pay it back when I can. I just need help. Please.
