Hello everyone, my name is Sunni Wood. My husband and I are in need of some help. It's not easy asking, because I am the type of person who tries to fix things on my own, but at this point I have to look past my pride and know that it's okay to reach out when you need to. About 12 years ago my husband and I bought a home. It's nothing fancy, but it is OUR home and we have shared many wonderful memories here, and I am forever grateful. Some of my most cherished memories are being carried across the threshold by my groom after we got married, and bringing our sweet daughter and our precious son home from the hospital to love like we've never loved before. Life in our tiny home might seem like a "simple" life to some, but for me it's a blessing that I'll continually Thank God for, all the days of my life. Our life is beautiful, it's amazing, and I will hold every memory in my heart and never let it go.
A few years ago, my husband and I noticed that a few things were starting to happen in our home. Cracks were beginning to appear on the walls, the ceiling in our bedroom began to cave in, and the center of our home began to sag. After further inspection, my husband discovered that the problems were caused by termites. He began to remove walls only to discover that the damage was far worse than we would have ever expected. Everything needed to be gutted and replaced, every wall, all the floors, and all the wood work underneath the home had to be removed.
This is where I come to you and ask for your help. After much prayer, I know that God has and will provide a way for us to get our home back to where it needs to be for our children. My husband has been working his full-time job and coming home every night and working on the house until bedtime. I cannot express to you how incredibly proud of him I am. He is such an amazing husband and father, but he needs help in order to get this project completed. He is doing all of the work on his own and we have very limited funds.
I realize there are so many needs, needed by so many people. All I ask is that if God places it on your heart, please help us in anyway that you can and my prayer for you will be just as Luke 6:38 states, "Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it, it will be measured back to you."
