Bigelow Family

In the early morning of Saturday, September 29, 2018 my sister and brother-in-law's home started on fire.  Thankfully, my sister was woken by my 4-year-old niece, Cece, who was crying.  Upon waking, my sister smelt smoke and woke her husband, Eric, up.  They discovered smoke coming out of their bedroom wall and quickly got the kids up and out of the house along with my parents.

It is unknown at this time how much damage there is (the second story is a complete loss), and they will not be able to get back into the home to try and salvage belongings until after the insurance inspector investigates and gives them the go ahead.  They have 5 children; Sohpia - age 13 (it is her 13th birthday today, 9/29/18), Landon - 10, Olivia - 8, Cecilia - 4, and Vincent - 3 (on Oct. 6).

They will need clothing, essentials, furniture, etc., as well as will be needing to pay for a rental home until they can either repair their home or find another (depending on what the insurance inspector determines as far as damage).  They are currently staying in a hotel put up by the Red Cross, but are looking for something long term to house their family.  At this point in time, it is likely that they will have to continue to pay on their mortgage as well as pay rent and will have double expenses.

I will continue to update their needs as we find out more.    We are just so very thankful that everyone got out safe and remember that things can be replaced, but loved ones cannot.
