Urgent Medical Care

Every year, I try to give back to others who are in need of support. I have received only a few birthdays throughout my life for my birthday. 


This year, I have done a lot to give back to others. From buying a mother a car, building a house for a refugee camp to helping college students pay for school, It has been a rewarding journey. 


I usually would not do this because I like taking care of my family, but unfortunately it’s hard right now. This year, I want to focus on giving back to my uncle who lives in Kenya. He is 80 years old. He has major health issues which he received surgery for last year. The surgery was not enough to help him recover fully and therefore he still is suffering from pain. He needs to see a specialist in Nairobi, Kenya but it’s costly. People do not have healthcare in Kenya. Although it is less expensive than the USA to get medical care, a lot of families can’t afford it. I wish I could bring him to the USA but we were all separated during the Somali war. Also, everything became much more difficult for refugees when Trump was elected. 


I wish borders did not exist because it’s the only thing that separates families from saying each other. 


The best gift anyone could give me for my birthday is to help me get medical care for my uncle. If I could raise $5,000-$10,000, I could bring him to Nairobi next month.
