<div>My dad, Jim, was involved in a horrible freak accident on the morning of September 26, 2025. He fell a high three-stories off of a fire escape while on a trip visiting my sister in NYC. He is currently in the ICU in critical condition with extensive injuries. These injuries include:

<div>•tear of main arteries

</div>

<div>•broken orbital bone (which potentially is going to leave him blind)

<div>•broken cheek bone

</div>

<div>•both ankles and heels are shattered

<div>•shattered tibia bone in his left leg

</div>

<div>•fractured vertebrae’s

</div>

<div>•collapsed lung

</div>

<div>•broken nose

</div>

<div>•broken right arm

</div>

<div>At the moment he is also still medically sedated with a ventilator assisting his breathing.

<div>Although he is truly lucky to have survived, his road to recovery is going to be very long and difficult. His family is asking for any and all help while this is not only very mentally difficult but also very expensive in a time where we do not have the expenses to cover the cost. Doctors told us to plan for him to be in the hospital for over month at minimum and then he will have to go into inpatient rehab. None of his family expect for my sister lives in New York so not only are we going to have to worry about medical expenses but also traveling expenses for his family to come help him during his difficult recovery.
