*Peters Family* Putting pride aside

Shelley updated us on Perry's health status today. Please keep my dear friends in your prayers.

" So most of you know Perry had a brain tumor removed about a month ago. We were told initially it was benign. Pathology found some malignant cells which has brought the tumor from a T2 to a T3... meaning it is cancerous. We traveled to Bend yesterday to see where exactly we go from here. Looks like about 2 1/2 months of treatment between radiation and chemo. It was impossible to remove the entire tumor. It was entwined with healthy brain tissue. To be honest I'm feeling a bit woe is me. I know that is wrong....so many people fighting a bigger fight. We are extremely lucky in so many ways. But my heart breaks at what he will have to go thru and has already endured. And my mind reals at the thought of Dr bills that have come and will continue to. How do people get thru it financially? Emotionaly? Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes and help we've had since this has started just under a year ago. I would like to ask for continued prayers and positive thoughts. Its amazing how one positive thought or comment can change your day. Remember that as you go out into the world. Be kind to all people...we are all battling something. Have a great day and thanks for letting me vent."

There comes a time when you just have to ask for help. A time where you throw your hands in the air and give all of your burdens to God and pray that the community that you have loved and supported for so many years will come together and help you in your greatest time of need.
Perry Peters suffered from a massive seizure while at work on November 29, 2016. He was rushed to the hospital via ambulance. Perry ended up at a hospital in Bend, OR where DR's informed the Peters family that Perry had a brain tumor called an oliogodenroglioma. It is benign.
After months of monitoring and tests the specialists have determined that this tumor needs to be removed. Surgery is set for August 8, 2017 in Bend, OR.
Both Perry and his wife of almost 22 years, Shelley, have exhausted all financial resources and have depleted all sick and vacation time provided by their employers. Perry will not be able to work for a minimum of 2 months.
The Peters do not drive fancy cars or live beyond their means. Infact, I have never met any two people as generous and giving.
I also would like to add that Shelley reluctantly agreed to letting me create a fundraiser for them. This was in no way their idea.
All help is much appreciated.
