Helping Baby Triss

This is a fundraiser put on by the family of Will and Meagan (Moylan) Spradling.
To fully understand this situation we are sharing this personal story for those that wish to help this young couple with their fight to bring their beautiful unborn baby "Triss" into their family.
In May of this year Meagan and Will went in for their ultrasound that would tell the sex of their blossoming baby. They found out they were having a baby girl and the name was all ready to go. Triss Morgan Spradling. Triss's middle name is after Meagan's twin sister Morgan LeDoux.
A few days later they received a phone call that no parent wishes to receive. The doctors had identified a mass on baby Triss's lung. It was suspected to be CCAM. CCAM stands for Congenital Cystic Adenomatoid Malformation. Shortly after this phone call they were sent to KU Medical Center where it was confirmed that little Triss had CCAM.
The outlook for CCAM in 90% of the cases is somewhat manageable and with proper monitoring would be in most situations something Meagan's doctors could handle. Unfortuantely baby Triss's CCAM was in the 10% that presented a more serious problem for both baby Triss and her mother Meagan.
Over the next couple of weeks the mass grew at a rapid rate and began to present serious complications for baby Triss. With the mass growing so fast blood flow and the ability for Triss to grow her other lung became compromised. Baby Triss's heart was displaced due to the size of the mass and the only option was surgery. The doctors performed a procedure that was invasive to help drain the mass. Along with this they also gave Meagan steriod shots to help fight the growth.
Unfortuantely shortly after the procedure the doctors found the mass was aggressive and growing at a rapid rate and putting little Triss into heart failure.
The couple found themselves rushed into pre-natal surgery where a very talented group of doctors and a specialized surgeon decided to perform pre-natal surgery to save Triss's life. The surgeon put a shunt into the mass to continously drain the fluid in the cyst to the outside of Triss's lung wall as baby Triss continues to grow. On top of dealing with the surgery Meagan suffered pressure in her own body from a build up of amniotic fluid as the amniotic sac was punctured during the procedure. The couple found themselves not only dealing with baby Triss's situation but now her mother Meagan was in pain due to the surgery and the pressure of the amniotic fluid.
The physicians worked closely with Meagan and baby Triss over the next several days to ensure she was able to recover from her surgery.
Meagan is at 28 weeks and there is a long road ahead for them to bring baby Triss successfully into their loving arms. Will and Meagan have spent a tremendous amount of time with doctors and in the hospital away from work. The bills are beginning to grow and being a very newly married couple getting started in the world this has obviously put a strain on them both financially. Their families are by their side and willing to help in every way.
We are reaching out to those that know Will and Meagan to donate to this fund to assist in their ability to successfully pay all of their medical bills and support their time away from work.
