Please help my Sister & her family

My sister is normally so private, but she needs our help.

After she had recent surgery and a spell in ICU where a Cat Scan was
undertaken Lisa was diagnosed with a large central carotid artery
aneurysm in her brain that needs to be addressed with surgery. 

Unfortunately it is not as straight forward as inserting a coil.  Because
of the size and position of the aneurysm surgery will involve
inserting a flow diverter stent along with coils.  
Frustratingly the stent is not covered under the PBS health scheme
which means Lisa will be waiting many months on the public hospital
list for this surgery to be done in a public teaching hospital. 
Her Neurosurgeon is working hard, writing to her private health
insurer to urge them to cover the thousands of dollars for the stent so
he can perform the surgery on his private patient list.

Without the surgery there is risk of the aneurysm rupturing resulting in a stroke and the subsequent disability or potentially even death.
An estimated cost for this surgery is in the vicinity of $20,000. 

Lisa has not been able to work her normal hours since they
found the aneurysm and the loss of her income is weighing heavily on
their financial situation.  The money raised will go towards her surgery costs.

Lisa is the loving, doting mother and absolute world to her only
daughter, Mahlet who has autism. 
Mahlet gets very anxious when her routine is changed and the times
that Lisa has to spend away and in hospital makes it very hard for her
husband to work full time and care for Mahlet, as she is unable to be
left alone. 

The stress and anxiety that this dear family have had to endure is hard 
to comprehend.

My sister means the world to me, and the only way for this surgery to
happen as soon as possible is to raise the funds ourselves.
