Help me pay for my Dad's funeral

My Dad died unexpectedly at the age of 52 last week. On top of the horrendous grief of losing my Dad, I've had to watch his mother grieve, and on top of that, seeing the stress of her having to pay for the funeral.

 

My Dad had no life insurance and lost his business, his pride and joy, at the start of the pandemic. Neither he, nor his Mother, who he lived with, have any assets or savings to help pay for his send-off.

 

The price of his completely basic funeral is £5446, with the Government paying £1000.

 

No Mother should ever have to bury their son, and I want to make this time as easy as possible for her; I can see how broken she is.

 

Any help whatsoever towards the cost of my Dad's send-off would be greatly appreciated by all the family.

 

I will also be hosting a non-profit music event next week to help put some money towards it.

 

This has been the hardest week of my life, but with a little financial pressure taken off my Grandma, we will be able to grieve properly.

 

I will be happy to provide receipts and proof of where the money will be going.
