Maddie's Mission

On Thursday 3rd June, 2 year old Madison was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia).

Madison had been complaining of leg pain on the Friday before her diagnosis, after 2 trips to the doctor and being told it was nothing to worry about, Madison was brought to the hospital on the Wednesday and within hours, Niall and Jacinta were told their beautiful daughter had Leukemia. She was brought straight from Mullingar to Crumlin and by the next day she had her first surgery and chemotherapy and that was the start of the 2½ year journey that lies ahead of her. Madison is currently getting chemotherapy daily and some days 3 different types of chemo as well as frequent surgeries.

This fundraiser has been set up for Niall and Jacinta by friends to help ease the financial strain, for fuel and other necessary expenses that will arise over the course of Madison's treatment. Madison is currently attending both Crumlin and Mullingar hospital regularly for surgery, chemotherapy and other important appointments.

The Baxter family have already got their plates full having 3 other children and with their eldest 2 having autism, things have never been easy but as always they remain strong, and that strength continues in their happy and brave little girl Madison. Jacinta is well known for her generosity and kindness, always offering her services for fundraisers for others, and most recently supplying over 2000 washable facemasks free of charge to frontline workers throughout the pandemic. Now in their time of hardship we hope people can show them the kindness they have shown others and donate what you can. If you can't donate then please share ❤

Niall and Jacinta are aware of this fundraiser and are so grateful and overwhelmed with the kindness and offers of help from everyone. Since word got out about Madison's diagnosis there has been countless calls and messages asking can we help in any way, so we feel this is the best way, they appreciate the massive support for Madison at this difficult time.
