Angela's Cancer Treatment Fund
Hi all,
As most of my family and friends know, I was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer in 2010. Since then, I have had regular scan and bloodwork done with markers that are continuing to rise and continue to have pain. I have no insurance, so all my expenses have been out of pocket. Needless to say, the bills have been piling up.
My doctor would like for me to have a scan done that would show tumors that are too small to be picked up by other more common scans for this cancer in which it could take another couple of years for the tumors to show. This way, we can determine what course of treatment we need to go with. Having this scan could mean the difference of living another 15-20 years verses 8-9 years.
I am trying to raise the funds to have this scan done. The scan itself is $2500.00 plus I would have travel expenses to Tennessee which is one of the only two places in the USA to have this scan.
For those in the San Antonio area, I will be doing local fund raising such as BBQ plates and bake sales(dates to be determined) and also a 50/50 drawing at the San Antonio Air Coolers "Because We Can" car show at Biff Buzby's on Sept. 15, 2012.
