Breast & Lung Cancer Treatment Costs

I created this page to help my mom with her cancer treatment costs.  She was diagnosed in early October with stage 3 breast cancer which has spread to her lungs.  This is her second battle with breast cancer, 6 years ago she did chemo and radiation.  She is now undergoing chemo again.  Even with insurance, the costs are high and mounting.  Unfortunately she had to stop working due to the cancer.  She has worked the last  10+ years at  Largo Medical Center in housekeeping (including cleaning the COVID unit, up until just after her diagnosis).    Her treatment plan is being managed by Dr. Patel of the Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute and involves chemo and later specialized treatment.  

Her medical bills include keeping her insurance,  co-pays, deductibles and out of pockets expenses.  The $3000  is just to get her medical bills up to date for a deadline given to her for her Jan 5th appointment.  They told her today that she needs to pay for the PET scans and other care already done and more coming (to monitor how the chemo doses are working).  We would really like to meet that goal and even possibly raise more funds to get caught her caught up on other bills.   She is already behind on the medical bills, rent and other bills.  Money was already tight when she was able to work.    The family is trying to do all they can to help her through but times are rough for everyone right now.  Every little bit helps.  She needs money to help her get through the treatment.  Really the basic medical costs plus she needs help with food, rent, utilities and transportation to treatment.  Thank you to anyone that helps!  We appreciate whatever you can do to help.  She hopes to be cancer free by March.
