Single mom Jamie and her 14 year old daughter Z have been through a lot and need your help! Z has been struggling with migraines for the past year and a half. From July to October, she was in the ER 22 times. Finally, an ER doctor admitted Z for further tests. After a lumbar puncture and MRI, she was diagnosed with IIH (Idiopathic intracranial hypertension). She stayed at the hospital for four weeks. Before being discharged, we noticed Z was unsteady on her feet. She needed a walker to be mobile. She was then diagnosed with FND (Functional Neurological Disorder). She no longer could go up and down stairs or stand for long periods. When leaving the hospital, it was decided that she couldn't go back to the place we were living ( a friend who was amazing for letting us stay with them) due to Z's room being upstairs. We ended up getting a room at the Red Roof Inn and have been there ever since. Jamie works full-time for a school district and has had to take a lot of time off for Z's doctor appointments. Jamie has ran out of sick leave and only has FMLA. Please consider helping this sweet family as they navigate all of Z’s health challenges!
