Help Build new toilets for Ikota Slum Community

The Williams Uchemba Foundation is responding to an SOS call from the community of Ikota, Lagos.
The recent heavy rainfall has destroyed people's homes and sources of livelihood but, whilst we plan on evacuating mothers and vulnerable children, and help rebuild some of these homes, there is another pressing issue we can help resolve.
The community in this slum has been deprived of basic human needs and this has greatly affected the general health of the people. At the moment there are NO TOILETS at all. Children, adults and the elderly defecate in a nylon bag and toss it within their environment, go to nearby bushes or do it in the water itself right outside their house. This has resulted in pollution and illnesses in the community.
We can all agree that this is detrimental to their health and although we cannot evacuate everyone now due to the limited resources at hand, we want to build new toilets and shower facilities for these people. Our plan is to build communal toilets for males and females and also build new drainage systems to accommodate the new toilets.
We have already acquired a piece of land for this goal, and the goal is to build a minimum of 10 toilets and showers depending on how much we raise but, anything is better than the current situation (please see picture below of the only current toilet for the community).
No donation is too small, and we already have a team of workers from the community itself on standby who are ready to work but we need the resources at hand to make this possible, and your contribution, however small, will go a long way.
