Flora Mini Marathon

Paddy was diagnosed with glioblastoma (GBM) an aggressive form of brain cancer in January 2015, 10 months later he passed away after a brave battle. Brain tumours reduce life expectancy by an average of 20 years, the highest of any cancer.  In the UK, 2% of the cancer research funding is spent on brain tumours.

Brain Tumour Ireland  was set up in 2012 to raise awareness of brain tumours here in Ireland, to provide support to brain tumour patients and and to promote and fund medical research into brain tumours in Ireland and abroad.  In May 2016, they announced their support in establishing a Brain Biobank in Ireland which will encourage research aimed at individualised treatments and hopefully increase survival rates for brain tumour patients.

Around 20 of Paddy's friends and family members will be taking part in the Flora mini marathon  to raise money for Brain Tumour Ireland on June 6th.

Please donate if you can, thanks a million!:-)
