Let's Help Larry

Larry Likovich has been a beloved custodian at South Park schools for the last 20 years. You will be hard pressed to find a kiddo or teacher who has a bad thing to say about him. He has always been the first to volunteer for weekend basketball games, school functions, etc. The students make little gifts for him and they hang on his living room wall.

While he has been an outstanding employee, he is also a very sick man. He has acute kidney disease due to diabetes and years of overworking himself to provide for his wife and three children.  He went into acute renal failure in 2016.  He works full time only to leave work and immediately connect to his dialysis machine. Without his dialysis he will not survive. He would have days, if we are lucky, until his own body becomes completely toxic and he passes away.

Unfortunately, despite having high ranking seniority, Larry was one of 15 custodians laid off this week due to necessary cuts from COVID-19. Not only is he losing his paycheck, but the heath insurance coverage that keeps him alive. The family is scrambling and working hard to get a plan in place ASAP, but we are starting this to help him get the care he needs if it comes to that.

He is a proud man and would never dream of asking the families he has cared for for so long to take care of him. However, desperate times call for desperate measures. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
