Help Ukrainian Refugees in Spytkowice, Poland

My name is Sabina and I am raising funds to support Ukrainian refugees in my hometown of Spytkowice, Poland and surrounding areas.

 

We are all watching with outrage and dismay the terrible war in Ukraine. First and foremost, this is a humanitarian tragedy. The loss of life and the physical and economic destruction in Ukraine are needless and unjustified.

 

Over 1,500,000 people have crossed the Polish border just within the past two weeks. Mostly women and children come seeking refuge after experiencing the trauma and destruction of war, having travelled hours with minimal belonging and little kids. All are absolutely emotionally exhausted and scared.

 

Polish people have opened up their homes and hearts and are welcoming them with open arms.

 

We all can do something. At this point, my town and surrounding areas have few hundred refugees disbursed between churches, businesses, schools and individual homes including my own.

 

As you can imagine, they’re arriving with very limited possessions, disoriented, traumatized and require all kinds of assistance; psychological support, clothes, medicine, food, school supplies for kids, etc.

 

No one knows how long this war will last and how many more people will be displaced and if they will have a home to return to. So please help us support them!

 

I will be sending the money directly to my town where my trusted family members will purchase the necessities and help as many families as possible.

 

My sister in law has 15 people in her home and our church and other private residences are housing 30 children with another 50 arriving this weekend. My cousin a school teacher in my town will ensure Ukrainian kids entering our school will not have to worry about school supplies.
