Hi! My name is Emily Schlueter, and I am so excited to tell you that I have made the decision to commit the first six months of 2022 to learning more about Jesus and traveling to the nations to make Him known!

Some of you may have heard of an organization called YWAM (Youth With A Mission). It is a Christian organization founded in 1960, whose main goal is for their students to know God and make Him known. YWAM has bases all over the world with a program called DTS (Discipleship Training School). DTS is a 6 month program with a Lecture Phase, where students get to hear lectures from various speakers and learn more about Jesus, followed by an Outreach Phase, where the students travel to another nation to spread the Word of God and care for others.

This past year, I have really felt called to grow in my faith, to live a life that reflects God and His truth, and learn what it means to truly give my all to Him. I have been passionate about missions since I decided to join a missions team at my church in 2019 to help at a summer Bible school camp in Ecuador (which was sadly cancelled due to the pandemic).

After a lot of prayer, research, and guidance from my amazing family and friends, I have decided to go to the YWAM base in Skien, Norway in January to do a DTS! I believe that this experience will be lifechanging for me and my relationship with God. It's also a chance for me to gain independence and experience in missions work, and get to learn from and connect with new people from around the world. Something I hope to learn from this experience is how to surrender my all to God, be all in for Him. I also hope to learn more about other cultures and see and experience how they worship God. I desire to know God and make Him known! I am so excited for this journey, and I would really appreciate your support and prayers as I take this step in my faith.

I have been saving money this year to pay for the school fees, flights, and other extra costs, but I still have a ways to go. If you are willing, I would so appreciate your financial support to help me embark on this journey of faith.
