YWAM Mission Trip

Donation protected

Hello everyone!

Thank you for visiting this page and learning more about my upcoming mission trip to New Zealand with YWAM this summer of 2018.

Ever since I was a teenager, I have had a dream and a desire to travel to New Zealand. Not only because I am a huge Lord of the Rings nerd, but also because I have always been fascinated with the natural beauty of this majestic nation. I never could have known that God would eventually lead me to go there- not as a tourist, but as a short-term missionary.
After nearly 6 months of prayer, and consideration, I have felt God calling me to pursue going to New Zealand with YWAM (Youth with a Mission). YWAM is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world.
And it is with great joy that I have been officially accepted to go to YWAM Matamata- a YWAM base on the north Island of New Zealand. YWAM Matamata has a Discipleship Training School, that teaches, trains, and disciples families on evangelism, outreach, and service to Christ.
My position on this base will be as a "Mission Builder." To give you a brief description of my role, my duties as a mission builder will include working in the kitchen, helping with childcare, leading worship, building projects, painting,  and helping with the overall maintenance of the base, while supporting the activities and needs of the Discipleship Training School.

In order to go on this trip, I need to raise about $3,000 to cover the expenses (travel, room and board) for the 3 months that I will be living in Matamata. My goal is to be fully funded by the beginning of June. I will be leaving for New Zealand in the beginning of July, and returning to the States in October.  If you would like to partner with me financially, I would be so very grateful for your contribution!

Thank you for considering donating to my trip! I am so excited and blessed that God has given me this opportunity to serve in New Zealand, and pray that I will have a meaningful impact for His Kindom and His people.

In Christ,

~Heather
