Hey everyone!
I’d love to invite you into what my life this upcoming year is going to look like,
Starting January 3rd I will be heading out to Kona, Hawaii for a six month DTS (Discipleship Training School) through YWAM (Youth with a Mission). The first three months are intense focussed biblical studies in Kona followed by a three- month practical servanthood missions trip to somewhere in the world that has prayerfully been considered in need of love (even I am not sure of that destination quite yet). Fire & Fragrance is a group within YWAM that concentrates on constant and intentional prayer life (how cool!!!) and within that group is my group: the music track.
For those who have walked with me in life you know how important worship is to me, and using music to create and concentrate on worship. Worship is something I have been working on integrating naturally into my life as something not just being on a stage or with a guitar in my hands, it is something I know I want to live my life devoted in a way that honors Jesus. This missions trip/development project/personal joy means the world to me.
Although this is a fundraising campaign, I realize God is also not calling me to be stagnant in the time being. I am currently residing in Kelowna, working my bum off with two part time jobs and worship interning at SunRidge church. I am loving things so far.
I think it’s fair to say, it’s sometimes a really awkward thing, fundraising. The more I am growing I am realizing I really can’t do this life on my own, let alone this next year. I need prayer. I need community. I need a sense of home. And I really do need financial support to accomplish this upcoming trip.
If you aren’t in a position to support me financially, I truly believe in the power of prayer. I will be needing prayer for safety, clarity, peace, and joy. Prayer is so massively appreciated.
I know God is for me and not against me, I know He is providing for me in ways I have no way of understanding right now. The same way I know God delights in this step of obedience in my faith journey.
