WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER

Easton Joseph was born April 13, 2018 weighing in at 6.65 lbs and 19.3 inches long. He was 5 weeks early! Easton has been fighting ever since he made his arrival into this crazy world via an emergency c-section, he was breech and suffers from diaphragmatic paresis.

My dear friends Ashley and Bryan are the parents of this lil' fighter and after 22 days in the NICU they were able to take Easton home. Every parents scariest moment, bringing home their newborn for the first time, but Ash and Bry had to bring little man home on continuous oxygen and continuous O2 monitoring.

After four months Easton weighs only 10 lbs, feeding has been extremely difficult for he gets exhausted from trying to eat.  Since Easton has failed to thrive, on Aug 22 they inserted a feeding tube to help this lil fighter grow. After meeting with the surgeons, Easton is to undergo a major surgery this afternoon to repair his diaphragm.

After four months of weekly doctor visits, seeing specialists, having home O2 deliveries and now tube feedings. The medical bills have added up quickly. Ashley was fortunate enough to have been able to go back to work part-time, and her and Bryan care for Easton on opposite days when they are not working, because no daycare can handle the special attention that Easton requires.

I want you to imagine for a second how it was to bring home your first child (if you have them). Now imagine your child is attached to O2 and you have a limited amount of tubing to be able to stand up and walk around with him, you have alarms going off all through the night alerting you that his O2 sats have dropped, you wake up in a panic (if you sleep at all) only to see that the numbers are now improving. As a new parent feedings are tough, now imagine that the Docs are telling you to feed your baby every hour, because he's not growing adequately, and its so hard because when he eats he's so exhausted  because breathing alone is hard for him.

I'm starting this GoFundMe to allow Ash and Bry to worry about being parents and carrying for their new baby. To help them STOP worrying about the added stress of the never ending medical bills, not even including the everyday life expenses.

Thank you in Advance for your donation and please keep Easton, Ashley and Bryan in your prayers.
