<div>Hello, my name is Ryan. About 2 months ago, I was out sick from work when I felt a jolt in my chest, and immediately, the most immense fear came over me. I stumbled outside in hopes a neighbor would see me, and then I called 911. 26 minutes passed until the ambulance arrived. I was on the phone with my wife as she rushed home. The EMTs checked my vitals and told me it was just a panic attack and it would go away in a few hours. My wife and I went to bed only to wake up with another serious panic attack. My wife drove me to Elliot Hospital ER at 11:30 pm, where I continued to have the worst chest pain I've ever had. We had to wait 13 hours, and I wasn't seen till the next day. When I was finally seen, I was told that I had strained something from coughing since I was sick, and was sent home with nothing. The panic attacks continued and I was working with my primary care but the panic attacks were still so intense.  Just as I thought I was making progress, I ended up having another massive panic attack and my wife had to call 911 again. This time, I went in the ambulance back to Elliot. I thought since I had been brought by ambulance that I would be seen right away, but they pushed me straight back into the waiting room.  We waited 13 hours again to be seen, and the triage staff were so cruel and dismissive of my symptoms. At one point, my panic attacks were so bad that I passed out on my wife, and the triage staff didn't help us at all. When my wife asked for help, they told her it was just a panic attack and that there were more critical patients in front of me, and I would have to wait. Once we were finally seen, they ran all the tests they could, and we found out I had a few other health issues along with my panic attacks. We are currently working with my primary care and other doctors to treat everything, but I had to take a leave of absence from work while all of this was happening, and now the hospital bills are starting to come in.
