Help Yvonne get OUTSIDE.

Yvonne, and her partner Russ, were building their Alaskan dream home when a freak accident shatter their future. On July 13, 2017, Yvonne was working on the front porch, still under construction. She sat on a folding chair that was too close to the edge of the porch. The chair slipped and fell 12ft to the ground taking Yvonne with it. She landed flat on her back, breaking her T-12 vertebrae and instantly paralyzing her from the waist down. She was airlifted to a hospital in Anchorage where she spent the next two months learning how to manage her life from a wheelchair. Doctors told her she would be a paraplegic for life.

They were nearly finished building but now their dream home will need modifications to accommodate Yvonne in a wheelchair. She presently has no safe way to exit the house alone in an emergency so they need to build a lift to get her up and down to the front door that is 12 feet up. This cost is more than grants will cover. Russ can build the lift, but they need about 10K for the materials.
