On August 24th, while vacationing in Rhode Island, Yvette, Jerry & their 2 children Sarah & Charlie, rented mopeds on Block Island. Yvette hit a pothole and was thrown from the moped into an oncoming car.
She incurred fractured bones in her leg & traumatic injuries to both legs. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was air lifted to Rhode Island Hospital. At this time she has already required 2 surgeries.
Yvette will remain in the Providence, RI hospital until she is medically cleared to transfer to a rehab hospital in CT, where she will continue to need extensive nursing care & therapy.
Everyone who knows Yvette knows what a loving, caring and giving person she is. By raising monies, we are hoping to ease the financial burden that Yvette & her family will encounter due to not being able to work, non covered medical expenses, travel, hotels, meals etc.
We hope this will help Yvette to worry solely about her healing rather than finances.
