Farewell to our amazing friend, Yusuke Amemiya

Yusuke Amemiya was a son, a brother, an artist, a shoulder to cry on, a advise giver, a coffee date, a good night out, an amazing human being, a truely loyal and loving friend, but most of all he was family. He touched the lives of the people he grew up with in Banff, Vancouver, London, and countless other people from all over the world. His smile and energy were infectious, and he was always just a phone call away. Many of us had long, late night, talks with him about everything and nothing, coving topics ranging from the metaphysical, to what the best brand of sandals were. He never said a bad word about anyone, and was the first to brag about his friends accomplishments to anyone who would listen. He was there at your birthday party, your christmas get together, thanksgiving, camping trip, and you can always spot him in the back of the picture with some stupid expression on his face. He was a truely wonderful soul and a pleasure to be .

For me, he was my younger brother, and I loved him like family. He will always have a huge place in my heart and will never be far from my thoughts.

As some of you know, Yusuke and his brother Kei, lost their father less then a year ago, while he was visiting Japan.  The family had to fly him home, and handle all of the funeral expenses. I don't want them to have to go through that again. I have set up this memorial fund, to help ease the burden of funeral costs, legal costs, and all the unforeseen expenses. Yusuke had such a huge circle of friends, that if everyone chipped in whatever they can afford, we should be able to cover all of the costs. Every donation is confidential and annonymous, so no donation is too small, it all helps. It's my goal to remove the financial burden off the family, so they can focus on whats important... saying goodbye.

Thank you in advance for your support. We are all going to miss this amazing person, and the light he brought to all of our lives.
