Yum Mii - Noodle Shop

Donation protected
Yum Mii translated from Khmer is "eat noodles". Its the brain child of me and my brother; two simple cooks that want to feed people.  Neither of us have professional training, but we've spent the last few years studying and perfecting our culinary craft in order to see the happy faces of a full belly.  Our desire to feed others stems from our family's history; the stories we've heard countless times from our parents throughout our upbringing.  Both our mother and father were born in Cambodia. After the Vietnam War the Khmer Rouge began taking control and started a genocide that our family was lucky to survive.

Through the stories of my parents and other survivors we learned what true hunger was, and a flame was lit beneath our hearts.

Currently my brother lives in South Carolina, whereas I live in Minnesota.  My desire for this crowdfund is to start serving to the twin cities via the Minneapolis Farmers Market off of Lyndale starting in April of 2021.  Next would be a truck, and from there I'd move to SC to start the first brick and mortar restaurant with my brother.  Once I know he could handle and manage the restaurant without me, I'd return to the twin cities and open my own.

The $10,000 goal includes the cost of securing a slot in the market and buying equipment.  Every penny helps and we hope to hear the sweet sounds of slurping in the near future.  Thank you so much for your time and donations.

Sincerely,
Borun "Jonny" Ny
