I wanted to tell you a little bit about my mother Yuly.
when I was 6 and my brother was 3 after my father had passed away, my mother took full responsibility for raising us in our home country Ecuador. This was 20 years ago. My mother worked as a teacher while also selling books at street fairs to help financially sustain our family .
Years later Yuly migrated to the United States with 100 dollars in her pocket leaving us behind with the hopes of one day sending for us to attain a better life . When that became reality, yuly worked 3 jobs while going to school training to become a pet groomer. My mother managed to keep her kids on solid footing by waking up every day at 4 am and checking our homework and preparing our lunches as she then began her standard 14 hour work day. Yuly's first acomplishment was getting her groomers degree and worked at renown establishments as petco and petsmart while doing small jobs on the side to make ends meet . After 14 years of saving her tips and lunch money , my mother was finally able to fullfil a dream of hers opening up her own grooming store 'happy pets broadway'.
This past September 14, just 2 days before the grand opening, her dream was shattered .Yuly was a passenger in a car involved in a devastating accident. My mother is currently in critical condition in the ICU at Elmhurst Hospital. Doctors say it remains to be seen exactly what the full consequences of this accident will be once she awakens. My mother is a strong, brave woman and we pray that she will be able to recover from this tragic accident. The consequences of a car accident can be draining both financially and physically. We are currently struggling with the medical bills, her personal bills as well as her grooming salon.
What we ask of you is to put yourselves in our position and please help us in anyway you can. Together we can help Yuly keep her dream alive while for once not having her to fight to do it alone.
