<div>We have had so many friends and family reach out asking if our sister Yulia has a GoFundMe account.

<div>We first wanted to say thank you all for your concern, prayers, and encouraging words. On August 1st Yulia had a seizure and was taken to the emergency room where a CT scan of her brain showed a large mass. She was quickly transferred to Mission hospital where she then had a MRI done confirming the mass. She also had a CT of her chest, abdomen, and pelvis which was negative (meaning the mass started in her brain and has not been seen anywhere else.) After an admission at Mission and speaking with the neurosurgeon, it was decided the best care would be to transfer her to Duke where she would meet with their neurosurgery team that deals with large brain tumors. Without being 100% certain, her scans and providers are thinking it is an oligodendroglioma. The next step is surgery where they will remove as much of the tumor as safely possible. Afterwards, they can "stage," which means figure out more details about this tumor and additional treatment options moving forward.

<div>With such a sudden diagnosis of a large primary brain tumor that is causing her seizures, the costs for treatments, medications, and doctors' visits are quickly becoming overwhelming. She is scheduled to have a right craniotomy on August 14th. We are taking it day by day and will update as we find out more.
