2 months ago Matt took the leap into homeownership for the first time. On his own. For him and for his two amazing boys Harry and James.
In that time Matt has built a home, had central air installed, painted every wall, did landscaping in the front just recently with the help of friends. Cleaned every nook and cranny. (It was really dirty. I know, I helped) He is proud of his plot of land and home.
Matt also got a puppy Molly Mae, who instantly became James and Harry’s best friend.
But, tropical storm Henri passed through and in the early morning hours of Sunday August 22, they were evacuated
by the fire department. Their home flooded. The last they saw of it, it was surrounded by water.
Today, (Monday August 23) Matt was able to get back inside his house, 6-7 inches of water got in to the first door.
Below I’ll provide pictures.
Thankfully Matt has flood insurance, unfortunately he has a $5,000 deductible, and other expenses along the way.
