Ysabella Elisse Liver Transplant

I'm Ysabella Elisse Basa, 4 months old. I am appealing to you for some financial help. I was born with a life threatening disease called “Biliary Atresia”, rare, life-long and life-threatening childhood liver disease that affects 1 in 19,000-20,000 infants shortly after birth. Babies with BA have obstruction in their bile ducts which gets the bile trapped within their bodies eventually causing liver damage leading to biliary cirrhosis and liver failure.

Those diagnosed with this disease will be in and out of hospitals all their lives having operations, procedures, tests and scans to monitor their disease and ultimately keep them alive.

Transplantation is my only chance at life. Among the hospitals which performs this kind of sensitive procedure, Hospital in Taiwan is regarded to have the best team and facilities. Consequently, the cost of liver transplant in Taiwan is roughly 4-5 million Philippine Pesos or nearly $100,000 for hospitalization and procedure alone. This does not cover yet pre and post-operative expenses, travel, living expenses and maintenance medications.
