Tom's Medical Expenses

Our dad Tom is very ill and receiving treatment in a hospital in Vietnam, where he works as a teacher and lives with his wife, PhuongAnh. He contracted tuberculosis, which is much more common in Vietnam than it is in the States, and because of the severity of his case as well as some complications that occurred, he was given a 10% chance of survival. Thankfully, after nearly a month in very critical condition, he is starting to show some very tentative improvement!
We are continuing to learn about health care in Vietnam, and one big difference is that services must be paid for up front. Luckily health care there is far less expensive than it is here, and American dollars stretch much further. However, after over a month of hospital care, medications, etc., our dad is in need of additional funds to continue his care.
