Hello friends. After being here in Illinois for a year and a half, my sister's mental illness has finally come to a head. She attacked me today with a butcher knife. I was able to defend myself and get the knife away from her in order to call the police. She is now sitting in jail. She could be charged with domestic violence at the least, or attempted murder at the worst.

Unfortunately now it's imperative that I move out of here. And of course, I have no resources to relocate. I am in desperate need to get out of this house because I don't feel safe here. That is why I am reaching out to you wonderful people. I don't expect anything, I'm just putting the word out there that this situation is an emergency that needs to be addressed, and I'm at my wits' end as to what to do about it.

Any little amount that you can spare would be appreciated more than words can convey. It would give me the opportunity to get out of this house in order to feel safe and give me some time to figure out what to do next. Thank you for reading. My love to you all.
