Suluhisho Children’s Village needs your help…. Let’s give them the gift of a clean water supply for the new year!
Suluhisho is an orphanage and Montessori school in Kenya, Africa for children who have come from the most tragic, desperate and heart-breaking circumstances.
The school was started by Australian woman, Jacinta Ojwang, who visited Kenya 12 years ago and was profoundly affected by the poverty and deprivation she saw there. Upon her return to Australian, Jacinta began fundraising immediately, and returned to Kenya to build and run the orphanage, school and permaculture farm there… making a huge difference to so many lives.
Now Suluhisho needs our help… due to extreme ongoing drought, Suluhisho does not have a reliable, safe source of running water.
Currently staff have to go fetch make at least 12 trips to the water source on a daily basis, which is a number of kilometres away… taking much needed time away from taking care of our beautiful children, and not providing them with the safe, healthy water they need to thrive and grow.
We require $5,000 to dig our bore hole so we will have access to fresh water to use for all our children.
With increasing numbers of children from desperate impoverished circumstances needing support, Suluhisho remains committed to bring happiness and a chance at a brighter future for the Kenyan children.
Please help us by giving them the gift of fresh water this Christmas.
Any funds that go over the $5000 will continue to support the children's home, school fees and our beautiful Montessori preschool.
