Arts Education Summer Camps

 

At Performing Arts Workshops, one of our core values is to ensure that finances are never a barrier to children having a quality arts education.  We are proud that over the years our scholarship and subsidy programs have enabled HUNDREDS of students to attend camp who otherwise might not have been able to afford to do so. 

 

The benefits of an arts education reaches far beyond what is accomplished during a typical camp day. Indeed, exposure to the arts, especially at a young age is crucial to a child’s development and is a critical component of a well-rounded education.  An arts education helps children develop much-needed skills for school.  Skills such as: the ability to solve problems, communicate, collaborate, empathize, think critically, learn new skills, and be creative.  The skills and lessons learned via the arts are things that a child can take away for a lifetime.

 

We are excited to announce the return of our GoFundMe Summer Camp Scholarship Campaign.  Our current goal is to raise $12,000 with funds being applied directly to students’ tuition, supplies, and to help keep alive our long-standing tradition of offering free shows that are open to the families and friends of our campers.  We are asking for support from parents and the community at large to help make a difference and enrich a child’s life.

 

PAW has long been a leader in the summer camp and after school enrichment industry, serving the greater Los Angeles area for over 30 years.  PAW has garnered numerous awards for our arts-based education programs, including prestigious “BEST OF” honors from LA Parent Magazine in three different categories: Best Summer Camp, Best After School Program, and Best Children’s Live Theater. 

 

Every little bit helps; there is no such thing as a small donation and we thank you in advance for your generosity.   For our donors, the selfless act of giving is the real prize, but to show our appreciation, we are offering Gifts of Gratitude to those who contribute to the fund.
