Riverview Artist Salon 2022

 

Hi,

 

My name is Valerie Van Horne and I promote and support Iowa Creatives through social media, a website and free public events called Riverview Artist Salon in Des Moines, Iowa. I have been self-funding the events since 2017.  I am seeking help to offset 2022 event costs related to marketing and venue rental fees and to secure fiscal sponsorship through a nonprofit arts organization.

 

My personal mission is to elevate the status of creatives living in our city and state and to provide a center for networking, public engagement, new ideas, personal development and artistic growth. Events are held at xBk Live in Des Moines, Iowa and include spoken word, art advocacy, community outreach creative showcase and pop-up art show.

 

Since 2017, 21 events have been held at the Des Moines Social Club, the University of Iowa Pappajohn Center for Higher Education, Mainframe Studios and xBk Live. Each event is free and attended by an audience of participants family, friends and the community at large.
