Our society is a collection of bubbles. Liberal parents pass on liberal teachings to their children, while conservative parents do the same exact thing. No one side is right, but our future generations deserve to hear both sides of a political event—not just what they hear from their surroundings. Enter Youthivism: a nonprofit aimed at providing bipartisan education for children in a classroom environment. By letting children know both sides of the story, liberal and conservative ideologies no longer demonize one another, and children can work together across the red-blue line that has been instilled by previous generations. Over the last year, we have garnered the support of over 30 organizations and industry leaders in youth engagement—including members of C-SPAN Educate, Vote Now USA, and Civic Nation, as well as CA assemblywoman Rebecca Baur-Kahen, and Professor Donald Green of Columbia University. Through partnerships with the SRUVSD Explore program, we have brought curriculum centered around civic engagement to middle schoolers in our community—both in person and online. These funds will go towards educational supplies, public events, and marketing. To aid in our expansion, we request the support of community members such as yourselves to help Youthivism thrive.
