Youth Sailing Lessons in Southern Idaho

Southern Idaho Sailing Outreach  (SISO) is partnering with the City of Boise Department of Parks and Recreation, Idaho State Parks,  Ada and Boise Counties, and US Sailing to bring a community sailing education program to the citizens of Southern Idaho.  Our emphasis is on youth education. Team sports are not for everyone, and sailing provides kids with an opportunity to learn new skills, gain self confidence, get outdoors, and unplug from their electronic devices!

Through the efforts of a small group of volunteer sailors, we began planning and fundraising in 2017.  Since that time, we have raised over $200,000  in grants, charitable donations, and in-kind services.   In partnership with the City of Boise, we launched our first week-long sailing classes in the summer of 2019,  These first classes were a huge success and we are planning for ten week long sailing camps in 2020 - including one girls only camp led by female instructors.

To ensure a safe, first rate instructional program for the foreseeable future, we need to raise an additional $415,000.   Become part of our success. Become a program advocate today by supporting youth sailing education in the Treasure Valley.  SISO is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation, and all donations are tax exempt to the full extent of the law.
