Every Saturday morning, Hanah Jon Taylor of Cafe Coda provides free, professional instruction to aspiring musicians. These Jam sessions are truly instrumental in the lives of these teens. Not only do they get priceless coaching, but they also develop a meaningful, lasting relationship with a true artist who deeply cares for his community and our youth.
Anyone can come. Even without an instrument. At no charge and without an appointment. There are so few opportunities like this, especially for the music arts. For these kids who come every week, music is their life. These jam sessions/lessons are critical to their dreams; because of Hanah, several are on track to becoming a truly amazing artist.
We would like to add more kids, more instruments (they can keep), and promote the Youth Jazz Expo. This is where you come in. With your generosity, more young musicians can benefit from this truly incredible opportunity. Instead of loaning the instruments to play while at the Cafe Coda, it would be even better to provide them as a long term loan or even gift them to those who have shown their dedication to music. In addition, we would like to promote the youth jazz expo with t-shirts, hats, and some paid advertisements in local publications.
Your gift will immediately be put to use. The class is already ongoing, you would be allowing these kids to get even MORE from the class and make it possible to even expand the class. You can visit the Cafe Coda website at cafecoda.club
