Miracle Mission Hope House is a not for profit hands on organization based in the McDonough, Ga. community.
We provide emergency assistance to low-income individuals and families which include food, clothing, toiletries, GED classes, Basic Computer skills classes, job readiness and youth empowerment along with other supportive services. We not only give hand out but we give a hand up.
We mentor the youth and give them the best possible chance of reaching their full potential by staying active and allowing them to work at Miracle Mission Hope Houseto obtain the necessary skill sets.
The Coordinator of the youth empowerment program has experienced the pain of gang violence first hand. Her son was shot 17 times and murdered by a gang at the age of 21. That pain and agony has given her a drive and passion to help alleviate any other parent from the grief and hardache this kind of violence brings.
The coordinator drives from Georgia to West Virginia where her son was killed to mentor that young man who murdered her son to make sure when he is released from prison that he hurts no one else and also that no one hurts him. He is scheduled to be released from prison in 3 years and the coordinator wants to make sure he is ready for society. She has forgiven him and wants to show him how to be successful in life with out violence.
