Youth Boxing Team’s Travel

Since 2020 the mission of Mentality Sports Club has been to deliver quality programs that enhance academic and athletic skills. Our vision is to be the leading provider of skilled, high-performing student-athletes. Mentality Sports Club provides a suite of programs and services for participants including Homework Assistance; Boxing; and Sports Communication.

Mentality Sports Club was established as a means to support amateur boxing in the Hampton Roads area, both at the local and national levels. Our passion is to use amateur boxing to help struggling kids find their way to becoming confident young adults. It sounds cliché, but it's true; we've seen time and again how amateur boxing can bring out the best in many kids that may otherwise have used their time and energy out in the streets, by teaching them discipline, self-respect, and respect for others, and giving them the confidence and perseverance to succeed in other areas of their lives. Many of our successful competitive boxers come from troubled home environments, truant, in and out of jail, and involved in gang and other illegal activities. They come to the gym looking for an outlet and find support and guidance through the comradery of hard work and challenge.

To make a difference, we rely on the support of generous individuals and businesses in our community. We would be most grateful if you would consider providing a donation. Your support is critical to be able to get our athletes to travel for interstate and national competitions. All support would contribute to our Youth Boxing Team’s travel. Donations will especially benefit members unable to afford transportation to the 2023 USA Boxing Junior Olympic Summer & Festival on June 3-10th 2023 and 2024 Olympic Trails For Boxing on December 4-9th 2023.
