Christmas Gifts for orphans in Uganda

Hello, my name is kelly and I am an advocate and also a donor relations manager of “Send Hope for Orphans in Uganda” orphanage. George Kasibante is the sole provider of 15 children who are orphaned, abandoned or their families just could not support them. I’ve decided this year to try and raise some money for extra for Christmas gifts. Some neighborhood children go without and George not only cares for the children with him he also helps as many neighbors as he can. Many of these neighbors look to him for help. George also goes on mission trips to hand out school supplies to long distant villages and helps spread the Word of Christ. I will have known George for 2 yrs. I have witnessed the selfless acts people do from all over the world. So I was gonna buy some other kind of dolls for the girls and some toys for the boys; (As you know uganda is an impoverished country. You can read a bit about orphans/children down below) So as I was looking at toys I was thinking about buying for George’s children It dawned on me that the neighborhood children should have extra also. Turns out there are 9 more kids. Then I thought wouldn’t it be nice if George can give a toy to the boys and girls of the villages he helps. So that’s why I am starting this Gofundme. Hey, it’s worth a try right. If it turns out I don’t raise enough money your donation can either be refunded or go towards the orphanage. You can view my facebook, Send Hope to Orphans in Uganda and also George’s Facebook in these links at https://www.facebook.com/KellyAnnCrawford https:// www.facebook.com/ Sendhopetoorphansinuganda/ https://www.facebook.com/georgian.kasibante You can view pictures and videos to see how these beautiful kids are doing. You can talk to George and make a friend. As it’s been written that many orphanages in Uganda and other places take advantage of children for economic reasons. Children are being neglected with scant regulation. Volunteer tourism has been stopped for fear of abuse. Organization are being thought out and created to help these children as we speak. Mainly to fund families that need help to support their children instead of the families having to give up their children to not only give hope to the child but this can give hope to the parent or parents or neighbors who would like to support a child who lost their parents which would be a much better environment for the children. *However as for me I do not participate in donating unless I have prayed on it and know more facts about the organization. So when I met George I needed to find some kind of proof that I wouldn’t be taken advantage of. So I called a 501c3 that was established for another orphanage in Uganda. I had spoke to the CEO and told her my situation and she generously gave me the name of someone who is on the board or advocating in some way who lives in Uganda. Her name is Teddy and I can give you information where she can be reached. I spoke to her and she happily agreed to my needing someone to inspect George’s situation. She offered to go herself and paid $30 for a cab to visit him. I offered to pay but she refused. She had spoken with George, a few of his neighbors and with the older kids. Teddy was convinced that things were as George described. They had pictures taken together. So since then I have been helping when I could and I also started a gofundme. Many generous people have donated and George takes pictures of everything to help give belief to people that he is genuine. George has also started the paperwork for the 501c3. You will see that he has accomplished many things for the children’s lives and does not hide anything. George has been gifted land last year and found some help from neighbors and is trying to grow bananas. Last year he grew corn but was not a very good turn out. I am also hoping to one day to start a 501c3 myself to help fund girls education. Helping girls finish college is crucial in Uganda and places like it. You can learn more about the deviation girls can face when not getting a college education in a facebook page I created. Here is the link to it and also Instagram below. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me by sending me a Pm to Facebook or Instagram. I am also trying to open an e-commerce business to aid in children’s education of Uganda but I’m praying to help around the globe. For many of these children, their options are to live with an elderly grandmother with no resources to provide care or fend for themselves on the streets. Many children do not complete their schooling nor have the competencies needed to do well in life. Only 1 in 4 children who starts primary school makes it to secondary school. Less than half (40 per cent) of students are literate at the end of primary school, causing them to be vulnerable to trafficking, child labor or turn to crime to survive.
